When you access this website, the hosting infrastructure may process technical information required to deliver the website and maintain its security and availability.
This may include, for example:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- requested page or file
- browser and device information
- referrer information, where transmitted
- technical status and error information
This processing is necessary for the secure and technically reliable operation of the website. To the extent that the processing is based on legitimate interests, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the hosting provider.
3. Encrypted Connection
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. This means that data transmitted between your browser and this website is encrypted during transmission.
4. Comments
Public comments are currently not offered on this website.
Accordingly, this website does not intentionally collect visitor names, email addresses or comment content through a public WordPress comment form.
5. User Accounts and Registration
This website currently does not offer public user registration or customer accounts.
WordPress administrator accounts are used only for internal website administration.
6. Cookies and Local Website Functions
The public website does not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies. Independent Analytics operates without cookies or browser local storage.
WordPress may use technically necessary cookies in the administration and login area. These cookies are required for functions such as authentication, security and saving administrative display preferences.
These administrative cookies are relevant primarily to authorized website administrators and are not intended for tracking public visitors.
7. Website Analytics with Independent Analytics
This website uses the self-hosted WordPress plugin Independent Analytics to measure website reach, understand which pages and reader resources are used, and improve the website.
The plugin may process the requested page, date and time of access, referrer information where transmitted, browser and device information, and an approximate geographic location. The visitor’s IP address and User-Agent are used to create a one-way hashed visitor identifier together with a site-specific salt. The plain IP address is not stored in the analytics database.
Analytics data is created and stored exclusively in this website’s WordPress database on our hosting infrastructure. It is not transmitted to Independent Analytics or other external analytics providers. The plugin does not use cookies. Logged-in administrators are excluded from tracking. The salt used for visitor identification is renewed daily, and analytics records are automatically deleted after one year.
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in obtaining privacy-conscious, aggregated information about the use and performance of this website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation by contacting legal@amaliarowe.com.
This website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable advertising technologies. If additional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated and, where legally required, appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented.
8. Contact by Email and Contact Form
You can contact us by email or through the contact form provided on this website. The information you submit is processed in order to respond to your request and manage the related communication.
Depending on the information you provide, this may include:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- the subject and content of your message
- any other information you voluntarily provide
The contact form is provided using the WordPress plugin Fluent Forms. Form submissions are stored in the website’s WordPress database and sent to us by email. No external CAPTCHA service is currently used. Local honeypot and token-based checks are used to reduce automated spam submissions.
Where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual communication, the legal basis may be Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other general inquiries, processing may be based on our legitimate interest in responding to communications pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Messages and form submissions are retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose and any applicable legal retention obligations.
9. Media and File Uploads
Public visitors are currently not able to upload images or other media files to this website.
10. Reader Resources and Downloads
This website may provide downloadable worksheets, PDF resources and other materials for readers of Amalia Rowe books.
When you request or download a file, the same technical connection data described in the hosting section may be processed in order to deliver the file securely.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, downloading a reader resource does not currently require creation of an account or submission of an email address.
11. External Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites, including online book retailers such as Amazon.
When you click an Amazon link, your browser establishes a direct connection to an Amazon website. Amazon may then process technical connection data, including your IP address, browser information, the referring page, and the time of access, and may use its own cookies or similar technologies.
This website does not transmit data to Amazon before you click such a link. After you follow the link, Amazon’s own privacy policy and data-processing practices apply.
12. Embedded Third-Party Content
At present, this website is not intentionally configured to embed third-party video players, social-media feeds or comparable external tracking content.
If such content is introduced later, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
13. Recipients of Personal Data
Personal data may be processed by service providers where this is necessary for the operation and security of the website, in particular the hosting provider.
Personal data is not sold to third parties.
14. Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Technical server logs are retained only for as long as they are required for website delivery, operational security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. The exact period is determined by the hosting provider’s technical configuration. Logs may be kept longer where this is necessary to investigate a security incident or comply with a legal obligation.
15. Your Data Protection Rights
Subject to the applicable requirements of the GDPR, you may have rights including:
- the right of access
- the right to rectification
- the right to erasure

In particular, the policy should be reviewed before adding services such as analytics, newsletters, embedded videos, advertising technologies or additional third-party plugins.
